40 Dorado Center Console
The 40 Dorado has become the commercial fisherman, charter captain and dive boat vessel of choice over the last 15 years. It can be rigged with a variety of engine choices, like the popular single engine diesel, twin 350 hp outboards or even I/Os. Equipped with twin 310hp Volvo the boat was recording 1.5 mpg at 40 MPH and 6 mpg at trolling. Available in two configurations including the most popular Pilot House model. The Pilot house can be left open in the aft or full enclosed with isinglass or custom fiberglass doors or you can customize yours like Cpt Dave Mistretta (http://www.jawstoo.com). The Pilot house provides the availability to A/C the cabin with ample room for a galley, table, ice-maker and sink as well as accommodations for four with a head and shower. The latest 40 Pilot house to be built was a commercial boat with a single 440 Cummings Diesel. This boat was designed with 400 gallons of fuel, and enough insulated fish boxes to hold 5000#s of ice and fish.
40 Dorado Pilot House
If you want a awesome 40 vessel with size and comfort to make it to the Bahamas or Dry Torugas, the center console is for you! This version features a huge console with walk-in shower and head and forward cabin with accommodations for four. With the 12'8" beam, you could fish 10 people or comfortably have 12 divers on the boat. This has tremendous storage, enough to store all the dive tanks in the floor. This fishing beast has a huge leaning post, bait-station, live-well combination that allows you tons of room for fishing. Normally outfitted with a large gunnel to gunnel tower, this boat is awesome! This was the owners boat of choice in creating a flagship vessel.
